The last couple days have been rough. My chain issues (now resolved) and the Sturgis Bike Week hoopla, coupled with vicious Black Hills weather, has made my progress slow.
Stopped at the Crazy Horse Monument for a couple hours yesterday. It was absolutely amazing and felt like a little bit of a reward for my recent hardships. Anyone who might be passing through that area should stop and see for yourself.
I stayed at a nice little cheap motel last night in SW South Dakota that allowed me to recoup, rest, and charge my batteries (figuratively and literally). That has made a world off difference after camping in the rain the night before.
This morning, I continued South into Nebraska into the grasslands, saw lots of wildlife, and worked my way on into Wyoming. The loose gravel roads were tough at times, but it was all worth it.
I'm hoping to cross Wyoming today and make it to Yellowstone. Hoping that they have campsite available, but my expectations are low. If they're booked up, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do.
Will update more when I can. My cell service is far and few between and WiFi is not overly abundant in this area.
